ASP.NET Core is the new, multi-platform framework from Microsoft poised to replace the full Windows-only .NET Framework. The new framework is at the heart of massive services like BING search engines that serves about 130 million searches for United States only. The current stable version is v2.2, which is able to generate 7 millions of plain text responses per second using a single server even on Linux, about 50% more than Nginx according to TechEmpower benchmarks.
VaiSulWeb announces that ASP.NET Core is available along the full stack of its managed products, from Linux entry-level services to cloud hosting to deploy highly-scalable applications up to hyper-scale infrastructure provided by Microsoft Azure.
ASP.NET on Linux
Linux-based hosting packages get richer with VSW Linux .NET, a new package that supports .NET Core v2.1 and v2.2 and it also provides all of the functionalities included with our standard Linux packages (cPanel support, daily backups etc.). VSW Linux .NET packages use a special configuration to run .NET Core applications, which provides increased performances when compared to standard PHP, node.js and so forth. Five MySQL databases are included in the base package starting at € 39.90 VAT incl. per year, with support for optional SQL Server 2017 databases through our database hosting service.
ASP.NET Core 3 and cloud hosting services
A few days ago Microsoft released ASP.NET Core 3 preview7, which provides a GO LIVE license to be used in production. Version 3 of the framework provides hundreds of improvements and bug fixes plus new exciting features like Blazor for example, besides providing a 42% improvement for throughtput and a 92% (92%!) reduction in memory usage.
ASP.NET Core 3 preview 7, together with v2.1 and v2.2, can be used in production through our cloud hosting services that provide high-scalability and availability of applications and that are ideal for large portals or applications that need to serve large amount of users, scaling up to 10 shared instances or more than 50 dedicated ones. Our cloud hosting services already host large portals and enterprise applications that need to support huge traffic or high computational requirements, for example application that need to use SQL Server 2017 machine learning features or ML.NET.
Cloud Hosting services start at € 45.00 VAT incl. / year / instance and they include a SQL Server 2017 database and a MySQL 5 one.
From a small application to hyper-scale
With the new offering, VaiSulWeb provides a clear path for .NET Core developers, covering all possible scenarios. From the deployment of a single, small MVC application (e.g. a single website) up to hosting an enterprise application that requires high-scalability and availability to the hyper-scale infrastructure of Microsoft Azure, .NET Core developers can reuse their code and publish their application unmodified, whether they prefer Linux or Windows as their host OS.
Cloud Hosting dedicated instance price reduction
We heard you! Many customers are interested in the features provided by our cloud hosting services, particularly in the scalability and flexibility of dedicated instances. We’re thus announcing a reduction of the price of dedicated instances for our cloud hosting services. Dedicated instances are isolated and dedicated environments reserved to a specific account and they are ideal to improve performances of a website or application because of reserved and dedicated resources. We are thus reducing their prices from 30 to 20 € VAT incl. / month / instance to allow our ASP.NET Core customers to enjoy the benefits even of a single dedicated instance.
By the way, dedicated instances are not reserved to ASP.NET Core and can host PHP, Java and node.js applications.
